According to the Children’s Trust Fund (CTF), in Massachusetts a child is reported abused and neglected every 5 minutes or 100,000 times each year. Yesterday, CTF helped place 700 pairs of shoes (pictured above) on the steps of the State House in Boston — the same number of confirmed cases of child abuse or neglect in Massachusetts each week.
